Congratulations to Al Gore for winning a share of the Nobel Peace Prize. I hope his work will lead to a better tomorrow, one where our children can enjoy the beauty and majesty of the great outdoors. I have to commend Mr. Gore for his hard work, spirit and determination to bring his message of global warming to the general populace.
A lesser man would have faded into obscurity after his failed bid to become President of the United States in the disputed elections in 2000. Here is a man, who won the popular vote but lost the one that mattered in the electoral college. Rather than stay away from the public eye for the remainder of his life, he decided to champion the cause of the environment, one of his core values.
Since his defeat in the 2000 elections, Mr. Gore has gone on to win an Emmy, an Oscar and now a Nobel. Good job Al, and let's hope this is now the last thing you win.
